The Church Murders and the Cat's Prey is the third book in F. Della Notte's Housekeeper Mystery series. Mrs. Sammi B and Father Melvyn have worked on cases before, but now an assassin has targeted churches and clergy. Father Melvyn has already taken a bullet, and Mrs. B steps up to protect those under her care. Dealing with the proud and arrogant man filling in for Father Melvyn, Mrs. B delicately keeps her cool until she can't any longer. Lala, the Father's cat, keeps Mrs. B abreast of potential danger, but can instinct and an ornery cat be enough to keep them safe when churches are being targeted?

Love this series. Characters are well defined and each story line is fast paced and well written. I do hope there are other books in the works.
