Shortened topic, as posted, topic so long it was breaking forum, also linked to page 1 of review rather than end.

Wow, impressive-- especially for such a small form factor (some SFX-L PSU's get quite long!) and those temps. Great Wall has done an amazing job.

Looks like only $240 right now on Amazon which is also quite a deal.

FWIW KitGuru's reviews do not yet seem to be updated with ATX 3.1 testing procedures, but you can check HWBusters if you care about the additional measurements:

Key thing here for me is the SFX sizing. I'm currently in the process of replacing my current NAS and it is going to be a mini-ITX build and this looks great on the 750W rating.

I've been running a SFF NAS for years in a Fractal Node 304. Just a (now) TRUENAS NAS, nothing more with not a lot of cores. I've never had larger than a Corsair 650W SFX PSU in it.

And here's me lamenting that I can't get a straight replacement for the SF450 Platinum PSU that's powering my NAS box.

Even with ungodly amounts of hard drives I can't see needing more than a 500W PSU for a home server (assuming it's not just a repurposed Dell dual Xeon box :flail: )

I will admit that it isn't the file duties that makes me want more than 400W but the media transcoding and Steam Link casting to other devices in the home that has me interested.

The Corsair SF1000 seems solid: small, strong, and ready for PCIe 5.0. I reviewed the SF830L, and I have both: it’s been a great piece of kit, but this seems like a nice upgrade if futureproofing, for $240 I would have thought it was a bit steep but for the spec it’s a good deal. For those times when you may not need the extra wattage but really don’t want to give up space, definitely a good choice.

I was going to go with the 850 for my mini ITX build, but no stock was available so I got the 1000 instead.

It's a 9800X3D and a 4080 Super. 1000w is 9 kinds of overkill for it. But it was what was available, so that's what I got.
I don't know if that Corsair is one, but there are a number of supplies that can work entirely silently if you're running far enough below their maximum output.

I have a Corsair SF1000L in one computer and a RM1000x shift in another. They both do zero fan mode, and this one claims it can as well.

It is temperature dependent I think, but on the SF1000L (which I also have as it was what was in stock at the time) it can get to about half load continuous draw before the fan will come on. That is hard to do even with a 7950x3d and a 4090.

I do not think the other computer can use enough to turn it on with a 7800x3d and a 3070. It stayed off during initial load testing at least (and that is part of why I put a larger supply than necessary in that one.)
My Corsair SF850 arrived. Its tiny for 850W, but still the same size as my Corsair SF750.

The cables are nice. Individually braided, CableMod(tm), Classic-style, but without combs and in dark grey.

Looks like a 16A, 1m power cord.

No nylon bag for the unused cables was included.

Strangest thing. The self-seal, small poly bags for screws and zip ties are gone. Those parts are now in dark grey, single use, paper envelopes. Very eco-conscious of Corsair? 🧐
