Switch peripherals between XPS 15 and HP ZBook 15 G6 with docking station
Hello, I have a personal laptop Dell XPS 15 and work laptop HP ZBook 15 G6, and 2-32" 4k monitors. The HP has one HDMI output port, and the XPS has USB4/thunderbolt and I am currently using a plugable USB 3. dual 4k dock from the XPS15, with DP output for monitors. I would like to set both laptops up to use both monitors at different times. Is there a switch and config that will sit between the laptops and the dock, that can do what I am describing here?
Thank you in advance!

I believe what you want is called a "KVM Switch". It means keyboard, video, mouse. I got one on Amazon that only supports a single monitor, ones that supports dual monitors are available but going to be more expensive. This is a link to get you started, this one only supports a single monitor. You can shop around for a suitable one for your needs, I believe you may also want to pay attention to specs because the KVM switch can limit video performance, if I'm not mistaken. The one I got is pretty slick. You just hit CTRL twice then the number of the PC/docking station you want to switch to, then your keyboard, mouse and monitors are all connected to that PC/docking station.
