Logitech g600 mouse alternative?

So I’ve been using my Logitech g600 mouse for so long I’ve pretty adapted my playstyle, and keybind setup for every one of my toons to utilize it’s ring-finger G-shift button. I’ve utilized it to basically set focus targets, and use focus abilities all with a simple click of my ring finger. In way, it’s essentially doubled all keybind space by holding that button while clicking anything else.

Recently, I noticed the buttons are starting to go (clicking them and occasionally getting no feedback) so I figured…ok before the expansion comes out, it’s time to get a new one. To my surprise, not only did they stop making this mouse 4 years ago, they never created a new version of it, and no other mouse on the entire market has a similar functionality with the ring finger g-shift button.

I’m honestly not sure what to do as this would completely upend how i’ve been playing arena and the game for the last 10 years about. Anyone else ever ran into a dilemma like this?

You could swap to bm hunter, moonkin, or dh and play on an atari joystick if that helps!

The software lets you bind the g-shift function to any button on the mouse.

Could try the EVGA x15, although reading some reviews online they say the scroll wheel gets crunked easily then just stops working.

I an tempted to buy one to try it out.

I couldn’t even use a g600 bc the buttons were so small I would get 2-3 at a time. I use a g502, and bind the 3 side buttons to alt, control, shift which allows me to triple my available keybinds. Then the top buttons i use for like UI QoL things that don’t need speed.

I use a Logitech Rollerball 2 button mouse. A really angry Paladin didn’t like my taste in gaming equipment and rating shamed me. It was weird because he had a party hat on which typically would signal to me that he would be friendly and social. I was wrong.

I still use my Razer Naga Epic 2012 (wired mode) and Tartarus from 2014.

never understood the hype of mmo mice even after trying them, but maybe im just too used to keyboard binds after playing games like starcraft

Lots of them for sale on Ebay. If you pony up to buy a couple you’ll probably have mice for as long as you play this game.

A normal mouse

No shot your putting moonking down with BM lol.

it is a logitech software problem. I had the same issue. Took it apart and cleaned it too.

Works great

I would imagine that many of them could have similar button issues that I’m having now considering they stopped making them 4 years ago.

Oh, I’m sorry I thought you just meant your mouse was succumbing to wear and tear. Yeah I’m not sure, I hope you figure it out.

The forums at Tomshardware are pretty good about all sorts of tech advice, that may be an avenue to go down.

Well, I mean it is basically. I wouldn’t mind getting another model off ebay, but I’m assuming that since they stopped making them years ago, many people could be selling mice with similar problems I’m having just looking to make a quick buck.

was a funny post though you would have to agree lol

No one asked Slayer gaming.

Do a search for 12 button mouse and you’ll get a ton of returns. Try it on amazon and that can provide some names to look at, check reviews, branch the search out from there.

I have used g600, in fact I have two (repurposed) sitting on a couple of linux boxes, I use the razer naga x atm for wow. They are all kinda the same. You can map what ya need. If you don’t want their software running on your system , make sure whatever mouse you choose has on board memory for whatever keybinds you want to change, etc.

None of these mice last a super long time. If you are tech savvy you can buy the switches and solder, you can try and clean 'em too, sometimes the boards can be swapped if you have more than one, and all that, but these are not super expensive mice, and at the end of the day, the switches used just get old and break.

i used to use the g600 for many many years, then i got the razer naga pro wireless which is basically the same thing same exact layout and button capabilities etc

i think the razer seems bit more smooth, overall its an amazing mouse i love it and yes it was super expensive but worth every penny imo
