Hi all,

I usually use an OEM Samsung leather case on my devices but I am not liking this years offerings for the S25+ from Samsung.

What case would you use, or recommend, for your S25+?

Any cases to avoid?

Thanks in advance

All the best,

Keith

Anyone ever used cases by TORO?

If you have what are your thoughts?

I've ordered several and have had some sent to me for testing. In no particular order:

Samsung Kindsuit. Really love the leather look and feel, combined with the metal buttons and thin profile.

Torro Leather Case, Navy. I got the same case for my work iPhone 15 Pro Max and the feel and fit are amazing. It's nice to see a leather case in a true navy color and gives the phone a distinct look and feel while maintaining a slim profile. Metal, color matched buttons are easy to press.

Spigen: Liquid Air is relatively slim and grippy. The edges are a bit square though and these collect fingerprints. Nano Pop looks really great and sides have grippy texture, great for those who want a pop of color. Parallax is great for its grip and geometric design, also has good color choices.

Nillkin thin case: Really nice dotted texture grip with raised bumpers in the corner. Quite thin but has a rugged feel. This reminds me of the classic rugged cases from the Note 4.

For my S25 I bought Kindsuit Case (grey color) - not heavy, not big but no natural leather (real photo in attach).
Maybe later I will buy Pitaka case:

On my old S21 Ultra I used four type of cases:
1. Silicone Cover (not too heavy but over time it became not very pleasant for hands)
2. Leather Cover (little more heavy still good)
3. Protective Standing Cover (heavy but the phone has survived many falls)
4. K-DOO case (similar with Pitaka) (very slim, lightweight and the phone has survived many falls too)

I get a shock whenever I see "carbon fiber" instead of aramid fiber based on own experience.

Great to see the nocturnal thunders and snow content - On a side note.
The terms get used interchangeably it seems these days. True carbon fiber is more of a rarity in this realm. Everyone assumes if it's black and woven, it's carbon LOL! I would like to see thin and perhaps a bit thicker (~1.0mm) cases made of G10 personally.

Docarbonfi 600D Aramid case looks good! Pictures as shown make it look a bit tacky and I was pleasantly surprised to see a high quality aramid product. A third of the price of the thinbourne and (IMHO) better looking with no branding. The only con I have right now is I don't have a damn phone to put it on!

Just an FYI, the "Black" Kindsuit is actually a dark bluish gray. I'm actually happy about this as I wanted a dark blue phone. The Kindsuit is thin and has very good grip, but isn't true leather. Also, the Jet Black phone color actually has blue and gray undertones in certain lights.

I usually get the Ringke Onyx but went with the Ringke Rugged Gear this time and am happy with it.

Edit: Whoops! Didn't notice this was about the Plus. There is no Rugged case from Ringke but the Onyx is available and a great choice.

I ended up buying the official Samsung Kindsuit black case in the end, although as mentioned by @Guyinlaca it is more grey than anything and certainly not black by any stretch of the imagination.

I also tried the black " leather" case from TORRO but sent that back as it was poorly made in my view, looked and felt horrible and as for their claim it is made from premium leather well it isn't, synthetic yes, real leather no.

This is disappointing. The Torro case for the 15 Pro Max is very nice. I had tried 4 other leather cases and while some were higher quality leather, their oiled nature made them too slippery and they looked more green than navy. Admittedly I haven't received the Torro S25 Ultra case yet and am hoping the fit and feel are good.

Having tested many cases, and multiple of the same cases, the finish of non-OEM leather or imitation leather cases varies widely. I've seen crooked metal buttons, dents or ugly imperfections, inconsistent coloration, differing leather textures, etc. I will update once I receive the case.

I have Spigen rugged armour magcase currently which is nice. I have also ordered the Torras magsafe case to compare, which also looks nice
I want to see which gives camera protection, i feel the spigen does offer some, but the camera edge doesn't feel that raised to me.
