After repeated tests with and without the headset, I have found the built in audio devices are far superior to this particular headset. I am tempted to stay with the built in equipment. Recordings are destined for a web site pod cast. Any suggestions?

Should add that the recording software is Audacity.
The Logitech H390 is a budget headset that cost considerably less than any “studio quality” headphones or microphone (and it has both headphones and a mic). While Logitech stuff usually provides good value for money, I would not expect great results recording with a mic / headset in the $25 price range.
I stopped using my Logitech headset because the noise cancelling property of the microphone made the voice quality trash. But it did cancel the room noise.
