after greeting

What is the appropriate charger for the sumsung galaxy S24 Ultra If it is a third party from well-known companies , What are the appropriate standards for charging speed? Which I must make sure is compatible with the standards of the device itself I would like to purchase a charger from a third party company so that I can benefit from it even if I use devices other than Samsung devices such as Xiaomi and others. It needs to be compatible with the standards of most devices at the same time So that I can benefit from it in the future to support higher speeds I currently have this charger, but a friend told me that it is not compatible with the maximum speed of Samsung devices

I hope you can help, thank you

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
For maximum speed with Samsung and most other recent devices get a charger that supports both PD 3.0 & PPS, something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C6LT7S55?th=1

Avoid chargers like the one you show, that just advertises something like "Quick Charge 3.0" or something similarly meaningless. This charger in particular claims "100W power delivery" but doesn't claim PD support which IMHO screams scam .

Personally, I like to just use a straight charging cable from my work PC to my phone and charge whilst I am at work. This approach is only a slow charge but fully enough to bring my phone to full charge before it is time to go home (and the phone itself will still have plenty of charge when I start work the next day).

At home I will use my fast charger, but this should help extend the battery life.

If you are looking for a portable, small charger, you need to look for one that supports PPS with 10V at 4.5 Amps. This gets you the full "superfast 2.0" charge speed.

Most PD power supplies without PPS support supply 9V @ 3A and if they have PPS support supply 10V @ 3A.

There was a thread discussing this in detail in the Tab S8 forum:

In my experience Anker makes the best small chargers. I had another thread comparing the Anker and Samsung 45W and 25W power supplies.

If you are only charging the S24 Ultra, I think Anker is the way to go. Several newer Anker supplies may also support Superfast 2.0

If you are sending power through a hub, all bets are off. First you need enough power for the hub and all the devices plugged in to it, so 45W isn't enough. Second, while I've heard rumors of hubs that support PPS / Samsung Superfast 2.0, I have never found or confirmed one myself. I'm convinced that most / all hubs won't pass-through PPS from the power supply, and don't support it natively, so you end up with 9V @ 3A going to the S24 Ultra.

Note 1: 10V @ 4.5A is the Samsung "Superfast 2.0" power protocol. As noted, it is not standard, and PD will only supply 9V @ 3A no matter how big the power supply is or how many Watts it says it can deliver. Regarding PPS, 10V @ 4.5A is also non-standard, and most power supplies with PPS support no matter what the size will only supply 10V @ 3A.

Note 2: I'm not sure what the power needs to be to trigger the Superfast 2.0 notification. I have seen several power supplies (including Samsung's) that trigger Superfast 2.0 notification even though I know they aren't 10V @ 4.5A

Take care,

Joe

Literally any usb c charger will work. The speed however depends on the charger, not the phone.
you wrong .. tin reality chip in the phone will check whether charger is genuine or supplied by same brand and acoording that it will allow higher speeds.. u can have 200W charger and still the device will not allow to charge phone a high speeds..
it is vice versa as well if the charger for example from different brand is connected to different brand of the phone, it will only allow to charge up to 30W or 35W

The S24 Ultra is USB-C PD compliant. Any USB-C PD rated charger will work. I've had zero issues with any USB-C PD rated charger. I've used Insignia 100W charger, a Anker 65W charger with no issues. I've even used the USB-C PD charger for a HP laptop (100W rating) and the charger for my Samsung Galaxy Book2 360 Pro (65W).
you pointlessly purchased higher than 45W as the phone will not allow charge higher than 45W

I'm using this one, and yes PPS works excellent...the best adapter ive ever had.

but it will still not allow your phone charge more than 45W.. your charger 165W is only good to charge like 4 or 5 devices at once ..

That doesn't mean anything chinese .. every product is made in china.. but the rate is now controlled for safety reasons and branding.. That's fine it works but it doesn't charge more than 45W as your phone will block it
Super fast charging is up to 40-45W ..

U naive little boy has no clue how old are you ? when u laughing and u even don't know why
I have Oppo phone which allow to charge 80W WITH their SuperVOOC charger
I have purchased SAME SuperVOOC charger but 150W as I wanted to see if my phone will charge faster than 80W but of course not it didn't allow..
I have also SuperWOOC 65W and I have also Original samsung
All SuperVOOC chargers will show battery icon in blue and when phone is charging less than 60W or with non SuperVOOC will show battery in green mode icon so that means phone is charged at either 25W or 45W

Everything you said is incorrect. The S24 Ultra IS USB-C PD compliant. You clearly have no idea how USB-C PD works. The DEVICE controls the input wattage, not the other way around. If the device can only handle 45W, then it will only take 45W of power. Meaning the charger will only at what the device says it can handle. If a device, such as my laptop requires 65W the charger will only send 65W. If a device can only charge at 15W, then the charger will only send 15W.

I purchased the higher rated charger so I could use it on my Tab S9, S24 Ultra, AND my Galaxy Book2 360 Pro. I also have a 200W charger so I can charge my laptop, phone AND tablet simultaneously.

The rating of a USB-C PD compliant charger is not what it puts out all the time. It is the TOTAL wattage that it can produce.
OP,

If you want a good desktop USB-C PD compliant charger, I recommend these (I have both):

and

If you want a good portable charger, then I recommend these (I have both):

and

Just make sure the cables are rated for 100W or more.

I recommend these cables:

If you want both high speed data transfer and high speed charging, you will need a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 cable. Those are much more expensive though.

For Samsung you need a charger which uses PPS standard for charging and a 5A cable. The cable you get with S24 ultra is only 3A so you can't use that one as it maxes out at 25W

We are so far off topic. The thread did not ask if batteries should or should not be fast charged, it asked "what's the best charger for the S24 Ultra?"

As I see from this thread there are two answers:

    1) the best charger supports Superfast 2.0 (to take advantage of the highest charging speed allowed by Samsung)

    2) the best charger is low/slow (to protect the battery lifetime)

Please take the battery life argument to another thread! There's a lot of room for disagreements here!

I'm ending my participation in this thread....
