I was asked to test and buy new headsets for a call center. They want noise cancelling and also be under $50 if possible .
What headsets do you use? Any suggestions?

If they are saying noise cancelling, they must mean microphone noise cancelling, not ANC. Mic noise cancelling works to reduce or eliminate background noise so the party at the other end does not hear the agent’s environmental background noise.
The VXi headsets are tested to eliminate up to 89% of background noise. Take a look at the CC Pro as a good example!
The other thing I will mention is that you shouldn’t pay a great deal of attention to the MSRP on the website. If you are considering headsets for a call center, then you should be buying in enough quantity that makes MSRP irrelevant.
Lastly, most call center type headsets are modular, and also require a lower cord to connect to the phones in use. Depending on the make and model of phone, this lower cord can vary. For example, Cisco phones tend to use one configuration, Avaya another and Polycom and most other brands a third!
I am not a sales person, so if you want to PM me with more details, I can give you more detailed info. If you already have a preferred hardware vendor for the rest of your IT, they can likely also provide your headsets and they would be better placed to talk price!
Hope this helps!
Alex.
I’ve got a couple VXi headsets and I love them. As far as for my contact center reps we’re sourcing Plantronics DuoSets H141N to be specific. Great configurability for the users and audio quality is awesome. If you have the time to test stuff out, check out Headsets.com I was able to demo a few different headsets when we considered changing brands.

MARCA: PLANTRONICS
MODEL: BLACKWIRE C310
using usb connection, very nice device for now…
We use the Plantronics Blackwire C310. Sturdy headband and no breaks since we swapped.
We use Smith Corona call center headsets, and found that they offer outstanding noise cancelation, are very durable and in most cases I not had to pay extra for a lower cord, since it’s usually included free with out headsets. The price is very competitive also.
Gaming ones, the ones from Razer are ridiculously muffling, although it may be intended for gaming, it could be used professionally too, plus you have the added bonus of looking like a badass from 2008
I am looking at this list
Logitech USB H570e
Microsoft LifeChat LX-6000
Jabra UC Voice 550 Duo
Plantronics Blackwire C325
Logitech USB Headset Stereo H650e
Well it sure looks like a bake off, only one missing here is Sennheiser. Take a moment and consider the deployment friendly Culture series ( SC60 or SC75 USB).
Conference systems | Sennheiser - Sennheiser or Conference systems | Sennheiser - Sennheiser
Would gladly arrange a sample if needed.
Cheers
