140mm Case Fans

With the surface area afforded by their larger fan blades, 140mm case fans deliver great cooling power while keeping the noise to a minimum. CORSAIR’s award-winning fans are ready to cool the biggest and most powerful builds.

What to look for in a 140mm case fan

The specs of your case fan are important, so consider the following as you browse.

  • Bearings: Magnetic levitation bearings have been rated to last a bit longer, but hydraulic bearings can still be reliable.
  • Size: 140mm affords larger fan blades, but will take up a larger footprint on your case.
  • Compatibility: Make sure you have open slots on your case and that other fans and radiators aren’t taking up too much area.
  • Static pressure and RPMs: Consider how efficient your fan is at cooling.
  • Design: There are subtle options in different colorways, or flashier choices with RGB and CORSAIR iCUE control.

Are 140mm better than smaller fans?

There’s a frequent debate in PC builder communities on whether 140-millimeter fans are better than their smaller 120mm counterparts. Generally, the choice here is about preference and about how many fans your current build can accommodate. 140mm fans will tend to move more air at slower RPMs, and they’ll tend to have a quieter operation and be a bit more efficient. 120mm fans, on the other hand, can produce more static pressure because they are forced to blow harder. So the answer here really is about preference, but you can read more about how fan sizes compare in our article 120mm fans vs 140mm fans .
