- Radiator size: Measured in millimeters, this is the size of the radiator fan unit on your AIO cooler.
- Socket compatibility: These coolers are designed for specific types of CPUs, so check to see that the socket size fits.
- Design: Choose between colors and LED features.
- LCD screen: Many AIO coolers have a readout display for stats and customization.
Is there a 480mm AIO cooler and will it fit with your PC?
The millimeter measurement assigned to this category of AIO coolers indicates the size of the actual radiator fan component of the system. An AIO hydro cooler works by pairing a reservoir next to your CPU to collect the heat given off by that chip, then using tubes to send that liquid to a fan-equipped radiator component to cool the liquid down. Though this is a little over-simplified, the larger the radiator unit, generally the more efficient that AIO cooler is at dissipating heat. 480-millimeter AIO coolers are on the larger side, meaning the radiator unit requires that much space in your PC case. So check the specs on the case you’re using to make sure that size footprint will fit.
